Dieter Nuhr in Cologne

Dieter Nuhr is a German comedian, cabaret artist, author and television presenter, born in Wesel in 1960. His comedy uses extended monologues to examine politics, public debate and everyday behavior. He is particularly known to television audiences as the host of the satirical ARD program Nuhr im Ersten. Nuhr die Wahrheit and Nuhr unter uns were among the solo programs he took through German-speaking theatres and larger halls. He followed them with further touring productions including Nuhr hier, nur heute and Kein Scherz!, presenting each as a solo spoken-word show built around newly written topical material. Nuhr auf Tour has kept that theatre format at the center of Dieter Nuhr’s live work.
