Dilated Peoples in San Francisco

Dilated Peoples are an American hip-hop group formed in Los Angeles in 1992 by rappers Evidence and Rakaa, later joined by DJ Babu. Their sample-driven West Coast rap reached a wider audience through albums including The Platform and Expansion Team, and tracks such as “Worst Comes to Worst” and the Kanye West collaboration “This Way.” Dilated Peoples played Coachella in 2001 and returned in 2014, the year they released Directors of Photography after an extended break between group albums. Their concert setup centers on Evidence and Rakaa trading verses while DJ Babu works the turntables.
