Dionne Warwick in Porto Alegre

Dionne Warwick is an American pop and soul singer, born in East Orange, New Jersey, in 1940. Her long partnership with songwriters Burt Bacharach and Hal David produced recordings including “Walk On By,” “I Say a Little Prayer” and “Do You Know the Way to San Jose?” She later recorded “That’s What Friends Are For” with Elton John, Gladys Knight and Stevie Wonder. Dionne Warwick’s 1960s concerts at the Olympia in Paris were documented on the album Dionne Warwick in Paris. In 2012, her 50th Anniversary Tour included a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
