Disco Inferno in Kalmar

Disco Inferno were an English experimental rock trio formed in Essex in 1989. Their early post-punk sound developed into sample-based rock built around guitars, bass and drums, heard on releases including D. I. Go Pop, “The Last Dance” and “It’s a Kid’s World.” The compilation The 5 EPs later brought together much of their work from this period. By the early 1990s, Disco Inferno were triggering samples through their instruments at club concerts, making electronics part of the trio’s live setup. They also performed material from this period in sessions for John Peel on BBC Radio 1.
