Djavan in Buenos Aires

Djavan is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and guitarist born in Maceió in 1949. His music draws on MPB, samba, bossa nova, jazz and pop, and his best-known songs include “Flor de Lis,” “Samurai,” “Sina” and “Oceano.” Albums such as Luz and Lilás established his detailed songwriting and distinctive rhythmic phrasing. Released in 1999, the concert album Djavan ao Vivo documented performances at Teatro João Caetano in Rio de Janeiro. Milagreiro Ao Vivo followed with a recording at Credicard Hall in São Paulo, while Ária Ao Vivo captured a later show at the Grande Teatro do Palácio das Artes in Belo Horizonte.
