Gustavo Santaolalla in Buenos Aires

Gustavo Santaolalla is an Argentine musician, composer and producer, born in 1951. A founding member of Arco Iris and co-founder of Bajofondo, he is known for his ronroco-led instrumental music and for scores including The Motorcycle Diaries, Brokeback Mountain, Babel and the video-game series The Last of Us. In 2022, the Desandando el Camino tour revisited music from across his career, including early rock songs, solo instrumentals and screen compositions. That retrospective work was followed in 2023 by a performance of music from The Last of Us at the Hollywood Bowl, staged for the game’s tenth anniversary.
