Donovan in Geneva

Donovan is a Scottish singer-songwriter, born in Glasgow in 1946, whose folk songs developed into psychedelic pop and rock during the 1960s. He is known for “Catch the Wind,” “Colours,” “Sunshine Superman,” “Mellow Yellow” and “Hurdy Gurdy Man,” as well as the albums Sunshine Superman and A Gift from a Flower to a Garden. Donovan performed at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965 before taking his expanded electric repertoire into concert halls. A 1967 performance at the Anaheim Convention Center became the album Donovan in Concert, and he later brought the same broad songbook to the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970.
