downy is a Japanese experimental rock band formed in Tokyo in 2000. Its music draws on post-rock, math rock, shoegaze and electronic textures, while its catalogue is centred on a sequence of albums titled 無題, meaning “Untitled,” and identified by number. downy made an early festival appearance at Fuji Rock Festival in 2000 and later established the self-produced concert series 情けの庭. The band suspended activity in 2004, then reunited in 2013 and revived 情けの庭 for further performances. The group performs as a full rock band, and projected imagery is an integral part of its concerts, handled by visual member Zakuro.
