About Dritte Wahl
Dritte Wahl are a German punk rock band formed in Rostock in 1988. Their direct, politically minded songs place them firmly in the Deutschpunk tradition; key records include Fasching in Bonn, Nimm drei, Meer aus Farben and 3D, while “Auge um Auge” and “Fliegen” are among their best-known songs.
Dritte Wahl’s long-running Christmas concerts in their hometown established an annual live tradition, and the band marked its 30th anniversary at Stadthalle Rostock in 2018. Its touring history also includes club shows across German-speaking Europe and appearances at Ruhrpott Rodeo and Wacken Open Air.
