Dua Lipa is a British pop singer and songwriter, born in London in 1995, whose music draws on dance-pop and synth-pop. Her self-titled debut album included “New Rules” and “IDGAF,” while Future Nostalgia produced “Don’t Start Now,” “Physical” and “Levitating.” Dua Lipa played clubs and theatres on The Self-Titled Tour in 2017 and 2018. She moved into arenas on the Future Nostalgia Tour in 2022, including The O2 in London, and headlined the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in 2024. Far beyond her home city, she has performed at Madison Square Garden in New York and Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.
Patti Smith is an American singer, songwriter and poet associated with the New York punk scene of the 1970s. Her 1975 debut album, Horses, opens with her reworking of Van Morrison’s “Gloria”; her best-known songs also include “Because the Night” and “People Have the Power.” In 1975, the Patti Smith Group played a seven-week residency at CBGB, appearing before Television. She returned in October 2006 to perform the club’s final concert. In 2015, she marked the 40th anniversary of Horses with a tour built around performances of the album in full. Patti Smith performed Horses at the Roundhouse in London during that anniversary tour. She returned to the city in 2021 to perform at Royal Albert Hall.
