Dubfire in Barcelona

Dubfire is the stage name of Iranian-American DJ and producer Ali Shirazinia, who was born in Tehran and raised in Washington, D.C. He first became known as half of Deep Dish, the duo behind “Flashdance,” “Say Hello” and the album George Is On. His solo work concentrates on minimal techno and includes “RibCage” and “Roadkill,” while his SCI+TEC label has been central to that phase of his career. In 2014, Dubfire premiered HYBRID, a live audiovisual production, at Amsterdam Dance Event. He later presented HYBRID at Sónar and Coachella, alongside DJ appearances at Time Warp.
