Dumdum Boys in Stavanger

Dumdum Boys is a Norwegian rock band formed in Trondheim in 1979 as the punk group Wannskrækk; it adopted its present name in 1985. The band plays guitar-led rock in Norwegian and is known for albums including Blodig Alvor and Splitter pine, as well as songs such as “Splitter pine,” “Englefjes” and “Stjernesludd.” The 1994 concert album 1001 Watt documented Dumdum Boys’ stage repertoire after their first run of studio records. Following a break, the band performed at Norwegian Wood in Oslo in 2004 and later marked its 30th anniversary with a 2009 concert at Torvet.
