Durand Bernarr in Oakland

Durand Bernarr is an American R&B and neo-soul singer, songwriter and keyboardist born in Cleveland in 1986. He first drew attention through his vocal arrangements and online covers of Erykah Badu songs, then developed his own catalog on albums including DUR& and Wanderlust. “Company” and “Leveled” are among his best-known tracks. In 2011, Durand Bernarr began touring as a backing vocalist for Erykah Badu before taking his own music into headline performances. In 2023, he presented songs from Wanderlust at NPR’s Tiny Desk, singing and playing keyboards with a band in Washington, D.C.
