Dweezil Zappa in Saint Paul

Dweezil Zappa is an American guitarist and composer, born in Los Angeles in 1969. The son of Frank Zappa, he has recorded instrumental rock and guitar-led albums including Havin’ a Bad Day and Confessions, but is best known for bringing his father’s music to the stage with a dedicated touring band. Zappa Plays Zappa began touring in 2006, performing Frank Zappa’s compositions in theatres and at festivals. Early concerts featured musicians associated with the original recordings, including Steve Vai, Terry Bozzio and Napoleon Murphy Brock. Later album-focused runs included anniversary performances of One Size Fits All and the Hot Rats Live tour, while Rox(Postroph)y paired music from Roxy & Elsewhere and Apostrophe (’) in concert.
