Eddie 9V in Winston-Salem

Eddie 9V is the stage name of American singer, guitarist and songwriter Brooks Mason, an Atlanta musician who plays electric blues, Southern soul and roots rock. He introduced the project with the album Left My Soul in Memphis, followed by Little Black Flies, Capricorn and Saratoga. Way Down the Alley (Live at Blind Willie's) documents a performance at his hometown blues club. The recording captures the compact band setup that he later took to headline club and festival dates in the United States and Europe. The show is a full-band set led by Eddie 9V’s vocals and electric guitar. His brother and studio collaborator Lane Kelly has also served as the band’s bassist.
