Eduardo De Crescenzo in Palermo

Eduardo De Crescenzo is an Italian singer-songwriter and accordionist, born in Naples in 1951. He is closely associated with Neapolitan song and melodic pop, and is best known for “Ancora,” alongside songs including “Mani” and “E la musica va.” He performed “Ancora” at the Sanremo Music Festival in 1981 and later returned with songs including “Via con me” and “E la musica va.” His later stage work included Avvenne a Napoli, a voice-and-piano programme devoted to the Neapolitan song tradition, presented with pianist Julian Oliver Mazzariello at Teatro di San Carlo.
