Edyta Geppert in Bielsko-Biala

Edyta Geppert is a Polish singer born in 1953 in Nowa Ruda, known for sung poetry, chanson and melodic pop. Her repertoire includes “Jaka róża, taki cierń,” “Och, życie kocham cię nad życie” and “Szukaj mnie,” songs built around close attention to lyrics and vocal interpretation. In 1984, she won the Grand Prix at Przegląd Piosenki Aktorskiej in Wrocław and then performed “Jaka róża, taki cierń” at Krajowy Festiwal Piosenki Polskiej in Opole, where she also received the Grand Prix. Her subsequent concert work has largely taken the form of vocal recitals in theatres and concert halls, accompanied by instrumentalists and shaped as coherent dramatic programs. Many of those recitals have been scripted and directed by her husband, Piotr Loretz.
