Eileen Ivers in Plymouth

Eileen Ivers is an American fiddler born in the Bronx to Irish parents. A founding member of Cherish the Ladies, she became widely known as the lead fiddler in the original touring production of Riverdance. Her solo work includes the albums Wild Blue and Crossing the Bridge, which place Irish traditional music alongside rock, blues and other roots styles. Riverdance took Ivers to major theatres around the world before she left the production to lead her own concert projects. She later toured with the band Immigrant Soul, making the fiddle the central voice in a full-band setting, and her concert work has included performances with the London Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops.
