Elbow in Manchester

Elbow are an English alternative rock band formed in Bury in 1990. Led by singer Guy Garvey, they are known for albums including The Seldom Seen Kid, which won the 2008 Mercury Prize, and songs such as “Grounds for Divorce,” “Open Arms” and “One Day Like This.” In 2009, Elbow played Manchester’s MEN Arena on the tour for The Seldom Seen Kid, and the concert was released as Live at The MEN Arena. Two years later, the band performed on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, before playing “Open Arms” and “One Day Like This” at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
