Ellende is an Austrian atmospheric black-metal project founded in Graz in 2011 by musician and visual artist L.G. Its music combines harsh vocals and black-metal intensity with extended ambient passages and melancholic melodies; the albums Todbringer, Lebensnehmer and Ellenbogengesellschaft are central works in its catalogue. In 2015, Ellende began performing with a full live lineup and went on to tour European clubs and metal festivals. In 2023, the group performed at Dark Easter Metal Meeting in Munich and Ragnarök Festival in Lichtenfels.
