Elliott BROOD is a Canadian alt-country trio formed in Toronto in 2002 by Mark Sasso, Casey Laforet and Stephen Pitkin. Banjo, guitar and forceful percussion shape the group’s self-described “death country” sound. Their best-known records include Ambassador, Mountain Meadows and Days Into Years, while “Write It All Down for You” and “Northern Air” are among their signature songs. Live at the Dakota Tavern documented Elliott BROOD in the intimate club setting central to their stage history. The trio also toured extensively across Canada, the United States and Europe, reaching major festival stages that included Glastonbury Festival.
