Emeli Sandé is a British singer-songwriter, born in Sunderland in 1987 and raised in Aberdeenshire, whose music draws on soul, R&B and pop. Her 2012 debut album, Our Version of Events, includes “Heaven,” “Next to Me,” “Clown” and “Read All About It, Pt. III”; she also sang on Professor Green’s “Read All About It” and Labrinth’s “Beneath Your Beautiful.” The Our Version of Events Tour took her through theatres and arenas during the debut album’s run. In 2012 she performed at both ceremonies of the London Olympics, singing “Abide with Me” at the opening and “Read All About It, Pt. III” at the closing, then recorded a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. She later returned to headline touring with the Long Live the Angels Tour. Her festival appearances have included Glastonbury Festival and T in the Park.
