Enigma in Turin

Enigma is a German electronic studio project created by producer Michael Cretu in 1990. Its atmospheric mix of programmed rhythms, sampled Gregorian chant and pop vocals became known through “Sadeness (Part I),” “Return to Innocence” and the albums MCMXC a.D. and The Cross of Changes. Enigma remained a studio project under Michael Cretu and did not tour during the period when its best-known records were released. Later concert productions billed as Original Enigma Voices brought the repertoire to the stage through vocalists heard on the recordings, including Andru Donalds and Angel X.
