Eric Benét & Tamar Braxton in Birmingham

Eric Benét is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter from Milwaukee, born in 1966. After recording with his sister Lisa as the duo Benét, he began his solo career with True to Myself. He is known for the albums A Day in the Life and Hurricane, as well as “Spend My Life with You,” his duet with Tamia, “Sometimes I Cry” and “The Last Time.” In 2016, Eric Benét performed an NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert that included “Sometimes I Cry” and “Spend My Life with You.” His international concert history also includes appearances at Seoul Jazz Festival in South Korea and Java Jazz Festival in Jakarta.

Tamar Braxton is an American R&B and soul singer and television personality, born in Severn, Maryland, in 1977. She first recorded as a member of the Braxtons, the group formed with her sisters, before beginning a solo career. Her best-known work includes the album Love and War and the songs “The One” and “All the Way Home.” In 2013, she opened for John Legend on the Made to Love Tour, then led her own headlining run in 2014. She joined Xscape for The Great Xscape Tour in 2017 and mounted the Bluebird of Happiness Tour in 2018.
