Éric Lapointe in Sainte-Thérèse

Éric Lapointe is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Montreal whose francophone rock is built around a rough, forceful vocal style. His debut album, Obsession, introduced songs including “Terre promise” and “N’importe quoi”; later releases produced staples such as “Loadé comme un gun” and “Mon ange.” In 1998, he opened for the Rolling Stones at Montreal’s Molson Centre during the Bridges to Babylon Tour. The same arena, later renamed Bell Centre, hosted his own concerts, while major Quebec festival appearances have included Francos de Montréal and Festival d’été de Québec.
