Escape With Romeo in Rüsselsheim am Main

Escape With Romeo are a German darkwave and synth-pop band formed in Cologne in 1989 by singer, guitarist and songwriter Thomas Elbern, formerly of Pink Turns Blue. Their catalogue is anchored by songs including “Somebody” and “Helicopters in the Falling Rain,” and albums such as Autumn on Venus and Next Stop Eternally. Escape With Romeo began playing German clubs in the early 1990s and later appeared at darkwave gatherings including Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig. A farewell run followed in 2019, but Thomas Elbern brought Escape With Romeo back to the stage in 2022.
