Estela Nuñez & Jorge Muñiz in Mexico City

Estela Núñez is a Mexican singer born in Guadalajara in 1948, known for ranchera, bolero and romantic ballads. Her repertoire includes “Una lágrima,” “Culpable” and “Te acuerdas,” songs that established her as a distinctive voice in Spanish-language popular music. In 1979, she represented Mexico at the OTI Festival, performing “Vivir sin ti.” She later joined the GranDiosas concert production and appeared at Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City as part of its cast of veteran Latin singers.

Jorge Muñiz is a Mexican singer and television presenter, born in Mexico City in 1960 and widely known as Coque Muñiz. The son of singer Marco Antonio Muñiz, he performs boleros and romantic Latin ballads; “La otra parte de ti” and “No prometas lo que no será” are among the songs associated with his recording career. His concert catalogue includes the album En vivo desde el Teatro de la Ciudad, documenting his repertoire in a theatre setting. He has also presented bolero programs with fellow singer Carlos Cuevas, a collaboration heard on the album Los amigos and carried into their joint stage appearances.
