Exhorder is an American metal band formed in New Orleans in 1985. Their thrash metal is built around heavy, syncopated riffs and is also associated with groove metal. The band is best known for the albums Slaughter in the Vatican and The Law, fronted by vocalist Kyle Thomas. In 1991, Exhorder played Dynamo Open Air in Eindhoven as the band established its early catalogue onstage. After re-forming in 2008, they resumed performing and appeared at Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore in 2011.
