About Fatima Yamaha
Fatima Yamaha is the electronic project of Dutch producer Bas Bron, who introduced the alias on the 2004 EP A Girl Between Two Worlds. Its track “What’s a Girl to Do” became the project’s signature after Dekmantel reissued it in 2015. The albums Imaginary Lines and Spontaneous Order extended its synth-led electro, house and funk sound.
At the 2015 Boiler Room performance at Dekmantel Festival in Amsterdam, Bron played the Fatima Yamaha catalogue as a live set using synthesizers and drum machines. Fatima Yamaha later performed at Glastonbury Festival in England and Coachella in California.
