Fernando Ortega is an American Christian singer-songwriter and pianist, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1957. His reflective folk-rooted worship music includes the songs “Give Me Jesus” and “This Good Day,” as well as the albums This Bright Hour, The Breaking of the Dawn and The Shadow of Your Wings. Fernando Ortega has toured with Amy Grant and presented his sacred repertoire in churches, theatres and concert halls. The concert release Fernando Ortega Live in St. Paul documents his voice-and-piano-centered approach before a live audience in St. Paul.
