Fernando Tordo is a Portuguese singer-songwriter, born in Lisbon in 1948. His work is closely associated with lyricist José Carlos Ary dos Santos, and his best-known songs include “Tourada,” “Cavalo à Solta” and “Estrela da Tarde.”

In 1973, he won Festival da Canção with “Tourada” and performed the song for Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest in Luxembourg. Four years later, he returned to Eurovision as a member of Os Amigos, performing “Portugal no Coração” in London.
