About Filipe Catto
Filipe Catto is a Brazilian singer-songwriter from Porto Alegre who plays MPB shaped by rock, tropicalist pop and psychedelia. The independent EP Saga introduced Catto’s work, followed by the albums Fôlego, Tomada and Catto. Belezas São Coisas Acesas por Dentro is an album-length interpretation of songs associated with Gal Costa.
The concert built around Tomada carried the 2015 album into Brazilian theatres, while the self-titled record was followed by O Nascimento de Vênus Tour. Catto later developed Belezas São Coisas Acesas por Dentro as a live-band concert for theatres and festivals, keeping the performance focused on the repertoire of Gal Costa.
