Fink in Sacramento

Fink is the recording and touring project led by English singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer Fin Greenall. After beginning under the Fink name as an electronic producer for Ninja Tune, Greenall turned toward acoustic songwriting on Biscuits for Breakfast. The project is known for albums including Distance and Time, Perfect Darkness and Hard Believer, and for songs such as “This Is the Thing” and “Looking Too Closely.” The 2012 live album Wheels Turn Beneath My Feet documented performances from the tour supporting Perfect Darkness. That year Fink also performed with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, a collaboration later issued as Fink Meets the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. The core stage lineup is a trio. Greenall handles vocals and guitar, joined by bassist Guy Whittaker and drummer and guitarist Tim Thornton. Germany has long been an important live market for Fink. The band also plays theatres and concert halls across the United Kingdom and France.

Maggie Koerner is an American singer-songwriter from Shreveport, Louisiana, whose music draws on soul, blues, folk and Southern rock. She is known for the solo releases Neutral Ground and Dig Down Deep, as well as her work as a vocalist with the funk band Galactic. Maggie Koerner toured nationally with Galactic, performing in clubs and at festivals as part of the band’s live lineup. Under her own name, she has performed at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Tipitina’s.
