FKJ in Portland

FKJ is the stage name of French multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer Vincent Fenton, born in 1990. He plays electronic music rooted in funk, jazz and soul. His catalog includes the albums French Kiwi Juice and Vincent, and he is especially known for “Tadow,” recorded with Masego, as well as “Ylang Ylang” and “Skyline.” In 2019, FKJ performed a filmed Cercle set on Bolivia’s Salar de Uyuni. That year he also appeared at Coachella. FKJ’s solo shows use live looping as he moves among keyboards, guitar, bass, saxophone and vocals. He documented that format in his Tiny Desk Concert for NPR.
