Flamin' Groovies in Cleveland

Flamin' Groovies are an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1965. Their music encompasses garage rock, hard-edged rock and roll and guitar-led power pop; their best-known recordings include “Shake Some Action,” “Teenage Head” and “Slow Death,” while the albums Teenage Head and Shake Some Action became central works in their catalog. In 1976, Flamin' Groovies headlined a concert at London’s Roundhouse that also featured the Ramones and the Stranglers. Cyril Jordan, Chris Wilson and George Alexander reunited for the Hoodoo Gurus’ Dig It Up festival series in Australia in 2013, after which the band returned to touring in the United States, Europe and Japan.
