About Florist
Florist is an American indie-folk band formed in 2013 by singer-songwriter Emily Sprague with Jonnie Baker and Rick Spataro, later joined by Felix Walworth. Based in Brooklyn, the group pairs restrained arrangements with Sprague’s close, reflective songwriting on albums including The Birds Outside Sang, If Blue Could Be Happiness, Emily Alone and the self-titled Florist.
Florist joined the Microphones for concert dates in 2022 while also touring behind the self-titled album. The band brought that material to Chicago in 2023 for a performance at Pitchfork Music Festival.
