Fly Anakin & Quelle Chris in Lisbon

Fly Anakin is an American rapper from Richmond, Virginia, and a co-founder of the Mutant Academy collective. His tightly packed, free-associative writing is heard across the collaborative album FlySiifu’s with Pink Siifu, his solo album Frank, and Skinemaxxx, made with producer Foisey. Pink Siifu and Fly Anakin performed a joint NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert in 2021, drawing the set from FlySiifu’s and the $mokebreak EP. After releasing Frank, he took the album into club rooms on a headline tour covering North American and European dates.

Quelle Chris is an American rapper and producer from Detroit whose music sits between underground rap, jazz-inflected production and experimental hip-hop. He is known for the albums Being You Is Great, I Wish I Could Be You More Often, Guns and Deathfame, as well as the Innocent Country records made with producer Chris Keys. For his NPR Tiny Desk Concert, Quelle Chris performed material from several stages of his catalog in a compact ensemble setting. The set included “Buddies,” “Graphic Bleed Outs” and “Obamacare,” supported by musicians including Chris Keys.
