Praying Mantis in Havlíčkův Brod

Praying Mantis are a British heavy metal band formed in London in 1973 by brothers Tino and Chris Troy. Part of the new wave of British heavy metal, they became known through their debut album Time Tells No Lies and songs including “Cheated” and “Children of the Earth.” Praying Mantis performed at Reading Festival in 1980 after taking part in the live circuit surrounding the Metal for Muthas compilation. In 1990 they regrouped for a new wave of British heavy metal anniversary concert in Japan, joined by former Iron Maiden members Paul Di’Anno and Dennis Stratton; the performance was documented on Live at Last.
