Franco Simone is an Italian singer-songwriter, born in 1949 in Acquarica del Capo, Apulia. He became known for melodic pop songs including “Respiro,” “Tu... e così sia” and “Paesaggio”; Spanish-language recordings such as “Paisaje” brought his work a lasting audience in Latin America.

Franco Simone toured Chile and Argentina as that Spanish-language repertoire became established there. He also made repeated appearances at the Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar, a central venue in his concert history in Chile.
