Fred Pellerin in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield

Fred Pellerin is a Canadian storyteller, writer and singer-songwriter born in Saint-Élie-de-Caxton in 1976. His French-language tales draw on the folklore of his hometown and recurring characters such as Babine and Toussaint Brodeur; his stories have also inspired books and films, including Babine and L’Arracheuse de temps. Dans mon village, il y a belle Lurette… began his series of solo storytelling productions in 2001. He followed it with Il faut prendre le taureau par les contes, while later shows included De peigne et de misère and Un village en trois dés. He has taken this repertoire to France and performed at the Olympia in Paris.
