About Friendly Fires
Friendly Fires are an English band formed in St Albans in 2006 by Ed Macfarlane, Edd Gibson and Jack Savidge. Their dance-oriented indie rock is built around percussion, guitars and electronic production; the band became known through songs including “Paris,” “Jump in the Pool,” “Skeleton Boy” and “Hawaiian Air,” and the albums Friendly Fires, Pala and Inflorescent.
In 2009, Friendly Fires played Glastonbury as their self-titled debut brought them onto larger stages. Touring around Pala included further festival appearances and headline concerts, while their return to recording was followed by another run of live dates. In 2019, the band brought the Inflorescent material to London’s Roundhouse.
