About Front 242
Front 242 is a Belgian electronic group formed in Aarschot in 1981. Their sequenced rhythms, forceful vocals and industrial textures became central to electronic body music, particularly on the albums Official Version and Front by Front. “Headhunter” and “Welcome to Paradise” are among their signature tracks.
In 1987, Front 242 supported Depeche Mode on dates of the Music for the Masses Tour. They later performed on Lollapalooza in 1993, while the Re:Boot concerts of the late 1990s presented reworked versions of earlier material. The farewell Black Out run ended in January 2025 with the group’s final concerts at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels.
