Fu Manchu in West Hollywood

Fu Manchu is an American stoner-rock band formed in Southern California in 1985, initially as the hardcore punk group Virulence before taking its present name in 1990. Heavy guitar riffs and a recurring fascination with cars, skateboarding and science fiction run through albums including In Search Of..., The Action Is Go and King of the Road, while “Evil Eye” and “Mongoose” are among the band’s best-known songs. The 2003 double album Go for It... Live! documented performances from the California Crossing touring cycle in the United States and Sweden. Fu Manchu later played King of the Road in full on anniversary dates, then marked 20 years of The Action Is Go with complete-album shows in 2017. The band has appeared at multiple editions of Desertfest in London and has also performed at Hellfest in Clisson.
