GA-20 in Boston

GA-20 is an American blues-rock trio formed in Boston in 2018 by guitarists Matthew Stubbs and Pat Faherty. The group plays electric blues rooted in the Chicago tradition and is known for the albums Lonely Soul and Crackdown, as well as the tribute record Try It...You Might Like It! GA-20 Does Hound Dog Taylor. Live in Loveland documents the group in concert in Loveland, Colorado. The trio later joined Black Joe Lewis for the co-headlining All Blues No Bullshit tour. GA-20 performs with two electric guitars and drums. Pat Faherty handles lead vocals and guitar, while the second guitar is played by Matthew Stubbs.

Sue Foley is a Canadian blues guitarist, singer and songwriter born in 1968. Her music is rooted in electric and Texas blues, and her catalogue includes the albums Young Girl Blues, Love Comin’ Down, The Ice Queen and Pinky’s Blues. Love Comin’ Down earned her a Juno Award. In the early 1990s, Foley played at Antone’s in Austin, the blues club whose record label released her first albums. She subsequently toured as a bandleader across North America and overseas, playing blues clubs, theatres and festivals. Canada and the United States have remained central to her concert work, including appearances at the Montreal International Jazz Festival and Ottawa Bluesfest.
