Gabriella Cilmi in Birmingham

Gabriella Cilmi is an Australian pop singer-songwriter born in Dandenong, Victoria, in 1991. Discovered at 13 after performing the Rolling Stones’ “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” at Melbourne’s Lygon Street Festa, she signed with Island Records and worked with Xenomania. Her 2008 debut album, Lessons to Be Learned, featured “Sweet About Me” and brought her six ARIA Music Awards, including Best Female Artist and Single of the Year. She later released Ten and The Sting. Gabriella Cilmi supported Sugababes on the Change Tour, bringing her early material to arena audiences. In 2009, she performed on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.
