Gaby Moreno in Beaverton

Gaby Moreno is a Guatemalan singer-songwriter and guitarist from Guatemala City who plays blues, jazz, soul and Latin American folk. She is known for the albums Postales, Ilusión and Alegoría, the Ricardo Arjona duet “Fuiste Tú,” and the theme for Parks and Recreation, co-written with Vincent Jones. She also received the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist. In 2012, Gaby Moreno toured Europe as a singer and guitarist with Hugh Laurie and the Copper Bottom Band, then appeared on Laurie’s album Didn’t It Rain. In 2016, she presented songs from Ilusión in an NPR Tiny Desk Concert.
