Artist
Gaerea are a Portuguese black metal band formed in 2016. Their music pairs abrasive black metal with death-metal weight and atmospheric passages, while black face coverings give the group a distinct visual identity. They are known for the albums Unsettling Whispers, Limbo, Mirage and Coma. After Mirage, Gaerea joined Rotting Christ on a North American tour in 2023. The group performs as a full band in matching black clothing and masks, and has also headlined European clubs and appeared at Hellfest and Wacken Open Air.
