Gary Hoey is an American rock guitarist born in Lowell, Massachusetts, in 1960. He is known for instrumental hard rock and blues-rock, including his version of Focus’s “Hocus Pocus,” the album Animal Instinct, his soundtrack for The Endless Summer II and the Ho! Ho! Hoey series of guitar-driven Christmas records. In 1993, Gary Hoey opened for Brian May during the Back to the Light tour. He later established the recurring Ho Ho Hoey Rockin’ Holiday Tour, bringing his hard-rock arrangements of seasonal music to concert stages each winter.
