Gilbert O'Sullivan in Heerlen

Gilbert O'Sullivan is an Irish singer-songwriter and pianist, born in Waterford in 1946 and raised in Swindon. He became known in the early 1970s for piano-led pop songs including “Alone Again (Naturally),” “Clair,” “Get Down” and “Nothing Rhymed,” as well as the albums Himself and Back to Front. Gilbert O'Sullivan gave his first live concert at Dublin’s National Stadium in 1972, then toured Britain and the United States during the 1970s. Concerts in Japan later produced the album Live in Japan, and he performed at Glastonbury Festival in 2008 after returning to regular concert work in Britain.
