Glen Hansard in Perugia

Glen Hansard is an Irish singer-songwriter, guitarist and actor, born in Dublin in 1970. He is the frontman of The Frames and performs with Markéta Irglová as The Swell Season. The pair starred in the film Once and wrote “Falling Slowly,” which received the Academy Award for Best Original Song. His solo albums include Rhythm and Repose. The Swell Season toured after Once, and the duo played Radio City Music Hall in 2008. In 2011, Glen Hansard opened concerts on Eddie Vedder’s solo tour, beginning a live partnership that led to further appearances together. The solo tour behind Didn’t He Ramble later included a concert at Carnegie Hall.
